My Name is Jorge R. Araujo. I am the sole Owner /Operator of this business. I am a semi-retired, Emergency Medical Technician & CPR/1st Aid Instructor. I started this business in 2018 (Bergen County, New Jersey). Recently, moving to Palm Bay, FL to be closer to my family.
My 1st love has always been Animals. I've been an Advocate, Active in Rescues for many years. My parents started me on this path from age 4 and it's been an ongoing "LOVE AFFAIR" ever since. We've had many purebreds, but mostly dealt with Rescued Dogs. In my youth, my family & I raised German Shepherds, Toy Poodles, Beagles. Then we continued working with mixed breeds (Shelter Dogs). In my adulthood, I've rescued many abused or abandoned animals. Rehabilitation & Rehoming.
This business was started to provide ALL animal services. Such as Dog Walks, Dog Obedience Training, etc. My ONLY promise to YOU is to provide 100% commitment to your "FUR-BABY" & ALL of their needs. Whatever they may be. I've been around ALL kinds of animals for a minimum of 50 yrs. I do not pretend to know everything there is to know about them. Yet, I do offer my BEST to them. I also have a medical background in Emergency Trauma. So I do not "panic easily" during stressful situations. When you think of ALL THE LOVE they give us, YOU know they deserve the BEST. That's me
HPAS was the beginning of a dream. Someday to create a rescue, I had to start somewhere. I have other associates who help me from time to time. Doing sittings, Dog walks, etc. Mostly I will handle all the clients myself. I share my experience & love of all animals. Yet at the end of the day, this is a business. My expenditures are few, overhead is low & so are my prices. In comparison to similar services out there, HPAS is quite reasonable. Please contact me if any of our services are to your liking. Pet Trainer:
I am not "a certified dog trainer". Instead, I have accumulated 50 plus years of experience in training dogs (primarily rescue/shelter dogs), whether "our own family pets" or other people's animals. I will promise to teach "your pet" Basic Obedience, Proper On-Leash behavior, Change Bad Behaviors, Create Positive Experiences & help them LEARN to become a more well-balanced member of the pack. All levels of training include a 15-30min Walk. All training is completed within 45 minutes to 1 hour. Pet parents must be prepared to purchase a training harness or slip collar for the training of their pet. Also, Pet parents must learn the exercises/training to practice with their pet. Together "WE" will help your pet become everything you're wanting for them. An "assessment" or Meet n' Greet with you & your pet is mandatory.
Pet Walker:
We can walk any size Dog (up to 150lbs). Depending on the size/medical history, determines the distance we walk. Normally, from 1/3 up to 2 miles (round trip). 45 min maximum.
Pet Sitter/Boarding:
I am a certified Emergency Medical Technician, CPR Instructor & well-versed in dealing with emergencies. I can SIT at "your home" with your pet. Walk, Feed, Administer Medications, & Play. I also offer Boarding your pet in my home. I have dogs & cats in my home. Everyone is a trained, well-adjusted animal. Regardless, your pet must be regularly vetted (yearly at minimum). Videos & pictures will be shared with pet parents during a sitting/boarding but will become the property of HPAS. Also, to be shared on this website & most multi-media platform (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
Pet Rescues/Rehoming:
I'm still involved with Rescue animals. I adhere to all prevalent Animal Laws within the state. Since "animals/pets" (under the law) are considered "property", I can only request their owners release the animal to me. So I can get them Medical Attention, a new home, or a local "NO KILL" shelter. I have a vast network of people (from the rescue community) that I deal with regularly.
Fees & Pricing:
Sometimes, special circumstances require "special pricing*". The following is a basic guideline of the fees for the service we provide...
Pet Training ..... $35 per day (45 min up to 1 hour)
Pet Walking ..... $12-$25 per walk (depending on distance & size of pet)* 45 min maximum.
Pet Sitting ..... $35 per Animal (Dog or cat, In YOUR home for 1 whole day {3x's... AM, Mid-day, & PM})**
Boarding ..... $65 per Animal (Dog or cat, In MY home for 1 day)**
Pet Rescue & Rehome ..... $175 per Animal (this fee includes a $100 Vet visit that is always MANDATORY)
